Patented EarthShield Grounding Fabric

Our patented EarthShield fabric took us over 2 years to develop and is made with the highest quality medical grade (316L) solid stainless steel fibre (40%), and sustainably produced Lyocell/Tencel from FSC Certified forests with German Made Antibacterial Mineral Fibre (60%).

It is permanently antibacterial (certified) and will prevent bacteria and odours from occurring within the fabric throughout its lifespan. Many fabrics are not permanently antibacterial and only have a solution added which washes out quickly.

The side skirt is 100% cotton and 40cm (16 inch) deep, and (50 cm/20 inch deep in Extra large king). The fit is generous to suit deep mattresses and those with an additional soft top.

This fabric is breathable and feels like linen. You can earth effectively for many years while sleeping on your favourite regular cotton or natural fibre sheets.

If you have an allergy to nickel in stainless steel or to 9 or 14-carat gold, then avoid direct skin contact. Note this product is designed as an underlay so you will not have any direct skin contact through your fitted cotton or natural fibre sheet.

How to Use

Place your EarthShield Underlay Sheet on top of your mattress protector (and electric or magnetic blanket) and then place your regular cotton sheet on top. Our patented fabric includes special German-made fibre made with natural antibacterial minerals, making this bedding hygenic between washes (machine washable see care instructions tab).

NO direct skin contact is needed. The smallest amount of humidity or moisture in your sheets, compressed by your body weight, creates conductive channels that very easily pass free electrons through.

Please note if you have an allergy to nickel in stainless steel or to 9 or 14-carat gold, then avoid direct skin contact whilst sleeping (which will happen when you use it as an underlay).

How to Care for your Grounding Sheet

Machine wash every 6 months.

This fabric is naturally antibacterial and remains hygienic between washes.

Line dry in the sun or shade. Final drying in a tumble-dryer on low is okay. Do not dry clean.

Presoak every 2nd wash in an oxidiser soaker to prevent the build-up of body oils as they act as a barrier to good conductivity and can reduce earthing strength until washed out. Oxidising soakers are fine to use as our Stainless Steel fabric does not oxidise. Avoid detergents that contain bleach as bleach will degrade this fabric’s antibacterial effectiveness over time.

Grounding via the Outlet Explained

EarthShield grounding products do NOT use electricity.
Even while plugged into the electrical wall socket, they only conduct to the round ground port, not the electrical slots.

Before using your product, please check that your outlet is grounded correctly with an outlet tester. If the tester shows any fault signals, you should have an electrician inspect the socket before grounding to it.

If you wall socket is not grounded, you can use a ground rod with your product instead.

EarthShield Grounding Adapter and Cord have built-in safety resistors totalling 60,000 ohms. This protects against the rare event if electricity enters the building ground wiring and travels into the Earthshield cord.

Your grounded power outlet can be turned ON or OFF, and your Earthshield product will ground well either way. If you need to share your wall socket with an electrical appliance, just have the wall socket turned on.
