All of our fabric grounding products come with a solid written 3 YEAR warranty to ground effectively when cared for in line with the care instructions. For Underlays you simply use as an underlay, and wash as needed. Sulphur in your body oil or sweat, ingredients in creams & lotions, and common washing detergents won’t damage the sheet.

Our Warranty extends beyond defective issues like faulty stitching or workmanship. It guarantees actual grounding performance. Our product warranties are typically 3 years, and the period for each product is shown on the individual product page.

Our Warranty is much longer and more dependable versus weak warranties given by sellers on their low % silver sheets, where their fine print covers ‘Defects”, but does not cover damage from normal use where common sulphur in body oil, sweat, many regular washing detergents, body lotions and creams will all damage your silver sheet beyond repair within months. Beware also of the many grounding product sellers that do not have a phone number where you can speak with a real human, and a genuine contact street address.

Why is a Warranty on Grounding Products so Important?

Many grounding products can lose their grounding effectiveness within a year or months, due to poor design or low-quality materials, even when you care for them properly. This happened to us and that’s why we started our product range.

Testing your Grounding Product

Fortunately, it is easy to test to see if your product is grounding effectively.

One method is to use an autoranging multimeter to check the approximate conductivity of your product. When grounding, you should observe at least a 90% drop in AC voltage compared to when you’re not grounded.This method also confirms that the wall socket and power board that you are using are grounding okay.

Another way to test your product is to use a grounding product tester (with the green light). Note this does not test that your wall socket and power boards are grounding okay. A separate wall socket tester will be required for this.

Your body will also likely tell you if your grounding product stops working. Pay attention to whether symptoms that improved when you began earthing—such as inflammation-related discomfort, poor sleep, joint pain, or autoimmune issues—start to return. This could be due to the loss of conductivity in your grounding product, which is preventing the earth’s free electrons from reaching your body.

  • Our fabric grounding mats are made with surgical grade stainless steel fibre and have a 3-year warranty.
  • All of EarthShield cords are custom reinforced and have a 2-year warranty. Standard grounding cords have a design based on similar cords in the Electrostatic Discharge industry, and will not be as reliable nor last as long.
  • Even our grounding wraps, which can be subjected to tough conditions, come with a 1-year warranty on grounding effectiveness.

How to Claim on Your Warranty

We give a Repair or Replace Warranty on the basis that your product is used and cared for in accordance with the care instructions in the EarthShield product guide included with your product(s). This is not just a warranty on defects such as sewing, but real conductive grounding effectiveness. Our warranty excludes cosmetic wear or imperfections that may develop with regular use and washing, as long as they do not impact the product’s grounding performance.

If you need to return your product under warranty, our friendly support staff will guide you on how to do this and issue you with a return authority reference so we can handle your warranty promptly.

For all customers, we ask that you initially cover the freight cost to return the product or any parts to EarthShield for replacement or repair. On inspection, if we find the product is faulty, we’ll reimburse your return freight cost and cover the cost to return the products to you.
