How does a Grounding Car Seat Mat Work?
Static electricity can build up in your body from your car’s electrical system, and from the continuous small movements of your body. This creates friction and a build-up of static charge.
Grounding helps you gently release these small charges. You can ground yourself to the metal body of your car via this grounding car seat mat with cord and adapter. Clip the alligator clip to any exposed metal in your car, such as under your seat. You can use any grounding product (such as a fabric grounding mat or band), by adding an alligator clip to the cord end.
Materials
Our custom conductive fabric is made from from surgical grade 316L solid stainless steel fibres (30%), cotton (35%) and polyester (35%) for toughness and durability. The fabric feels similar to denim jeans fabric. This conductive fabric cover also contains a 1mm thin felt insert to help retain its shape, but the insert can be removed if desired.
