Description
How to use your EarthShield Grounding Bed Mat
Place on top of your mattress protector / electric blanket / magnetic blanket. Secure with the heavy-duty, high-quality elastic straps and buckles provided. Put your favourite cotton or natural fiber sheets on top of the bed mat. To start grounding, connect to the cord and adapter. The wall socket can be switched OFF or on, as this system conducts earth only NOT electricity.
No direct skin contact is needed. Humidity or body moisture in your clothes and sheets, compressed by your body weight, creates conductive channels that pass the earth’s electrons to you.
EarthShield Grounding Bed Mat is available in two sizes (35″ or 55″) giving flexibility to suit most bed sizes and can be used when changing beds. The 55 inches wide will fit both King and Queen size mattresses for example.
For one person, place the EarthShield Grounding Bed Mat along the length of the bed (perfect for couples where only one person would like to ground). For couples, place it widthways with the underlay positioned under your back and hips (under your favourite cotton or natural fiber sheets).

About EarthShield Fabric
Earthshield® fabric is made with the highest quality medical grade (316L) solid stainless steel fibers (40%) for excellent grounding performance, and is certified to block over 99.9% of EMR from WiFi and mobile phones in the 300 kHz to 3 GHz range. We use German Made Antibacterial Mineral fiber with soft tencel from FSC Certified forests to ensure our fabric is breathable, flexible and long-lasting. This fabric does NOT feel hard or metallic, but rather feels like soft denim. It is certified as permanently antibacterial, which reduces the frequency of washing, and prevents bacterial and odours from occuring within the fabric. This fabric will remain antibacterial for at least 80 washes (40 years when washed each 6 months).

Care Instructions
Machine wash in warm to hot water every six months to prevent the build up of body oils. You can presoak the grounding bed mat with an Oxidizing soaker. This helps prevent the build-up of body oils, which act as a barrier to good conductivity and can reduce grounding strength until washed out. Oxidizing soakers will not damage this fabric as our Stainless Steel fiber will not oxidize. Line dry in the sun or shade. Final drying in a tumble-dryer on low is okay. Do not dry clean the grounding mat
Comparison To Other Brands
Most sellers of grounding products sell cotton grounding sheets with only 3-5% silver coated fiber or black carbon-coated grounding underlays made from Polyurethane (often marketed as Leatherette). Both silver and carbon grounding bedding is often made using low cost materials in China. They sell with short (and often very conditional) warranties that apply only to defects. Their warranties do not apply to damage from what we regard as normal use, such as sweating or wearing creams or lotions to bed. Silver can oxidize from sulfur in body or hair oils as well as sweat. Carbon coated polyurethane bed mats or grounding mattress pads are a clever invention in many ways, but do have problems such as the black carbon cracking and falling off, and not breathing like fabric. Many brands say their products should last for years or a lifetime, but only offer a 1-year warranty. We back our underlays with a solid 3-year warranty that includes grounding effectiveness.
